In 2016, we partnered with the Oregon Resource Association (ORA) and ANCOR to help communicate the growing national wage crisis facing Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Working alongside these organizations, we helped develop and communicate messaging for legislators that highlighted the challenges facing the workforce and the people who depend on these services.
The effort successfully contributed to a 10% increase in national wages for Direct Support Professionals, helping bring greater attention to the value of the workforce and the importance of sustainable funding for IDD services.
